At the start of the season, a team’s robot is nothing but some scribbled words on a paper: an idea that, with hope, functions. Over time, the robot gets fleshed out– or in its case, pieced out. The season progresses, and with it come more and more improvements. Robotics teaches so much more than how to build something: it teaches collaboration, communication, and real-life application.
Every member contributes to the team, making everyone uniquely invaluable. Though only two people are actually driving during tournaments, it’s all hands on deck when it comes to the behind-the-scenes processes. Every change stems from discussion, teamwork, and experimentation.
Today we are highlighting a great VEX IQ team - 7899X!
Team 7899X is a first year VEX IQ team that made it to the 2026 California South Regional Championship. Wish them the best of luck and success at the event on March 13th, 2026!
